American InterContinental University's mission is to provide for the varying educational needs of a culturally diverse and geographically dispersed student body with the goal of preparing students academically, personally, and professionally for successful careers. AIU Online offers a variety of MBA degree programs.

The MBA curriculum lends itself to change and allows professors to prepare relevant, timely coursework for students that can benefit them upon graduation.

This accelerated program can be completed quite fast, giving students the chance to make their next move up the corporate ladder sooner. The AIU Online MBA can help to position students for new careers. It is designed to provide a unique, market-relevant combination of a comprehensive business education with practical applications.

AIU Online's course delivery system incorporates Flash technology and rich, interactive multimedia.

AIU, because of its long history as a college, has been an accredited institute since 1987. From 1987 to 2009, AIU was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Since 2009, AIU has held its accreditation from The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

AIU Online provides the following MBA degrees and specializations:

AIU Reputation

AIU is working hard to forge a new reputation. The hiring practices and material taught underwent a serious upgrade with their new accreditation, and today’s AIU strives for a reputation for being a fair and affordable college available online and on-location via various campuses around the globe.

AIU Faculty

AIU’s faculty used to be among one of the school’s weaker points. It wasn't that faculty was inept; they just weren’t connecting with the type of students looking to learn at their own pace and in a different environment. AIU stopped going with the archetype university professors and started hiring individuals with both industry experience and teaching experience. This has led to an environment that can be much more friendly and supportive for students.

Paul Blossom, School of Business
Dr. Paul Blossom is described as a hands-on teacher in every area of manufacturing operations. His working experience started with General Motors, and Dr. Blossom has since gone on to Chief Operating Officer duties and other impressive credentials in his career. Mr. Blossom still works in the professional world as a consultant, meaning his business knowledge is viable and current.

Hal Campbell, School of Criminal Justice
Mr. Campbell isn’t your typical highbrow CJ teacher. He started his career as Deputy Sheriff and, after receiving his PhD, was promoted to Chief Analyst and Law Enforcement Planning Coordinator for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Hal certainly knows criminal justice, and his students are all beneficiaries of his vast experience.

Jolly Holden, School of Education
Mr. Holden is the former Chief of the Air Force Institute of Technology’s Graduate Education Programs Division and Evaluation and Technology Branch. That might be a mouthful, but so is Dr. Holden’s storied career. After retiring from active Air Force duty, Holden decided to teach courses at AIU via the virtual classroom.

AIU Locations

Apart from being available online via virtual classrooms, AIU also has campus locations in: Atlanta, Georgia; Los Angeles, California; Sandy Springs, Georgia; Weston, Florida; Houston, Texas; and even London, England.

Accessibility

AIU has taken strides in the accessibility department. Since retooling and coming back stronger, the university has made sure to become more user-friendly. Their website is very informative and potential students should be able to find anything they’re looking for. If not, there are toll-free support numbers for U.S. and international calls, a FAQ section, and also a live chat option.

Financial information

Financial aid is available for those who qualify and, depending on your status, you may also be eligible for student loans and grants. Be sure to check with the website for current information about payment options.
