Jim Baer, Mathematics
Mr. Baer is one of the most brilliant minds currently teaching at South University. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with an affinity for space travel. He went on to earn a bachelor’s in mathematics and physics from Penn State and also a master’s in mathematics from the same university.
Lina Liken-Paske, General Education
Miss Liken-Paske is one of those professors who have been around the block and back again. This highly intelligent woman holds multiple degrees and has taught English, business, General ED, and many more courses. She was the Associate Dean of Academics at Florida Metropolitan University and has been teaching with South University since 2004.
Douglas A. Orr, Criminal Justice Programs
Mr. Orr merges philosophy with criminal justice like no other teacher you’ll find at SU. His experience with ethics in criminal justice has helped to shape a new generation of legal personnel. And it’s not just all teaching for Douglas. He’s currently a Detective for the Major Crimes Unit with the Spokane Police Department.
All faculty members of South University share the same enthusiasm for teaching, and all have similar backgrounds in education and real-world experience. SU doesn’t settle for any teacher unless they’re at the head of the class in their field.

Additional Information
International students from abroad are more than welcome to apply for enrollment at South University. The only real requirement, outside of possessing a high school diploma or equivalent, is being fluent in English in order to properly take the courses provided. South University will also review all transfer credits if you’re enrolling with them from a former university. Military credits will also be reviewed and used toward your current degree program.
